Architects Six Degrees, in collaboration with consultants, Sustainable Built Environments, designed a new home for Architecture and Design at UTAS, within an existing diesel workshop. The design builds on the industrial character of the previous life of the building whilst exemplifying the strong environmental focus, timber research and learning by making philosophy of the course. The result is a high quality education facility that has been achieved with modest means whilst celebrating its working past.
