One of Hobart’s best-known public parks, the award-winning Glenorchy Art and Sculpture Park has forged strong community pride with its quiet presence on the Montrose Bay foreshore.

Two brightly coloured boardwalks extend across the water and link to a series of pavilions to stop, rest, take in the river view across the water and watch the local birdlife. Further along the two kilometre foreshore walk, is a striking concrete and coloured glass cantilevered pavilion that frames spectacular views of the mountain as well as MONA, all from a former staging point used in the construction of the Bowen Bridge.
