Largely closed to the public since 1850, this 9.3 hectare former industrial site is in the midst of a major revitalisation. Take one of our tours to learn more about the vision for Macquarie Point and the 13 projects rolling out on the site this financial year to transform it into a lively, vibrant precinct. You will be taken through the 1914 Goods Shed where trains once loaded and unloaded goods, which now functions primarily as a thriving events venue. The shed is architecturally notable for its Oregon beams and adds to a space that is becoming a hub for cultural events and creative arts. You will also get a specialised look at the outdoor entertainment venue Red Square and the Hobart Brewing Co.
