The centrepiece of the Brooker Highway’s roundabout interchange was decided by public design competition in 1960s. The city’s first modernist fountain has been a local icon ever since. A 2013 refurbishment includes new hydraulics to adjust the spray during windy conditions and coloured LED lighting.
