The Rox Apartments is an upcoming development including 16 apartments and a ground-floor commercial space. Its design pays particular consideration to its heritage context and the opportunity to ‘rebuild’ the inner city street corner.

Community: A generous public forecourt on the sunny side of the building, the forming of a new community within the larger Hobart area. Apartments are private and secluded yet with a sense of connectedness.

  • Heritage: Restoring the heritage Scotch College at the rear of the site, currently hidden behind Godreys.
  • Energy: Excellent solar gain to apartments, thermal performance and low ongoing costs.
  • Health: Outdoor terraces for all. Sunshine and natural ventilation throughout.

The design is the outcome of effective collaboration between client, builder and design team.

Address: corner of Elizabeth and Brisbane streets, Hobart, Tas
