The Militaria Collectors Association of Tasmania will be opening up the historic Queen Victoria Gun Powder Magazine which is located off Carriage Drive, Queens Domain. Visitors will have the opportunity to not only look at the building, but also their Armistice Day Exhibition “Grand Illusion – Grim Reality” which explores in seven panels not only the consequences on the soldiers but also those at home waiting, the Peace Conference and its impact on political events to the present day and the social consequences for the soldiers, their families and the nation post 1918. This Exhibition will be supported by items from members collections.
