Finding the friction point between beauty and decay is a thread that runs through much of Rone’s work. Rone has gone from spearheading Melbourne’s fledging street art movement in the early 2000’s, as a member of the Everfresh crew, to being a celebrated fixture on the international street art scene.
ARTIST TALK #1 Friday 6 September 5pm
Rone will discuss his journey – how he has built a sustainable art practice and the ways in which his work has developed over the years, touching on techniques and methods he uses from lo-fi to new technologies.
ARTIST TALK #2 Saturday 7 September 3pm
Rone will discuss how his work has transitioned from the streets, to white wall gallery, to the immersive experience he creates now. How the interaction and engagement with his art has changed now by incorporating new technologies such as AR and VR.
